Results of a comparative empiric study:
PURPOSE
Women aged 25 to 58 years old were tested to see whether, and to what degree, a cream is capable of decisively regenerating the most important zone of the skin, namely the "skin barrier". For this study, 3 parameters were specified:
- Skin Humidity
- Smoothing Effect
- Firmness Efficacy
APPROACH
Nearly all women have significant disorders in the skin barrier; these are caused partially by applying an incorrect (occlusive) skin care. If the skin barrier is damaged, the skin becomes, both subjectively and objectively, "too dry". It is estimated that about 2/3 of all women have such problems. Women over the age of 40 are particularly affected.
The skin also loses its rigidity, i.e. many preventable wrinkles appear and the skin becomes rough, which often leads to visible irregularities. All of these negative effects do not have much to do with the biology of aging. They are classic skin care mistakes.
Three typical skin care creams that are based on emulsions were tested (99% of all creams that are available on the market are such emulsions). These 3 creams (types 1 / 2 / 3) were compared to DANADEM from NOESA. Two types of DANADEM were used: a basic version and an enriched High version.
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
- The general performance of two skin care concepts is to be compared and tested, namely classic emulsions (= cream) vs. DANADEM.
- The capability to regenerate the skin barrier is to be compared; this is represented by 3 physiological parameters of the skin.

PROOF OF BARRIER EFFECTS
The study deliberately should not analyze the emotional/subjective interpretations of the women, but rather investigate an objective – and thus biologically relevant – change. For this purpose, the test area of the skin of each woman was specifically disrupted by the effects of the irritant sodium lauryl sulfate.
In this way, the skin barrier was artificially injured on the defined position of the lower arm. This was proven by the fact that the objective values for water loss (TEWL) were 18-20 units above the normal range at this position on the women’s skin.
Thus, real damage to the skin barrier existed.

TEST PROCEDURE: PRELIMINARY PHASE
First, all measurements were made before the first application at precisely defined positions on the sides of the lower arm. One test area remained untreated, acting as a control.
TEST PROCEDURE: THE SKIN CARE PHASE
The effects of the 3 creams and the 2 versions of DANADEM were measured as follows: 8 hours after the last daily application, based on the following periods of application:
This relatively long period is required in order to be able to analyze the regeneration of the damaged barrier. At least 28 days are needed to be able to heal the skin barrier in the first stage.
THE SUBSEQUENT PHASE
The stability of the effectiveness of the skin care products was determined in this phase. For this reason, control measurements were carried out without application, including on the 29th and 31st days. If the skin care product has only a surficial effect, the care effect drops immediately after stopping treatment. However, if the effect extends into the depths of the skin, there are stable positive effects even after treatment has been stopped.
In this regard, parameter "Skin Humidity" is the focus of the analysis. The skin humidity best represents the healthiness of the skin barrier. In addition, it is well-known that occlusive care, which is accomplished throughout the world using emulsions, often provides the subjective feeling of "more moisture" although the skin barrier is not biologically made capable of building up a good moisture supply from the inside by itself (i.e. without application of skin care products – in the test, this is demonstrated in the subsequent phase). The result of the investigations:

Note: In this context, examine the values in the area of Skin Humidity. The study shows that the 3 tested emulsions (creams) already no longer had any effect 1 day after discontinuing application. Such creams generally provide more of an apparent feeling of moisture, but they do not build up autonomous skin care in the sense of self-optimization of the skin.
In the 2 versions of DANADEM, the values remained in the positive range, thus providing the foundation for starting permanent healing of the skin barrier. In the end, precisely this effect is "serious skin care".
Impressive results can also be seen in the other parameters. In "Smoothing" … i.e. the reduction of many micro-wrinkles … emulsions 2 and 3 can still keep up at the beginning. But the longer that the period of application becomes, the more clearly that the two versions of DANADEM dominate:

In the case of the "Firmness" parameter … which is also important for the reduction of wrinkles … a somewhat more broadly diversified picture appears. In the application phase, the classic emulsions can still keep up well (perhaps their raison d’etre lies here?). But after treatment has been stopped, the values drop significantly. As soon as 3 days after discontinuation (after 31 days), the two versions of DANADEM are the sole leaders. Here is the result:

This long-term effect is increased over the time axis. This means that DANADEM builds up lasting effects, while the usual creams (emulsions) usually have only an extended "flash in the pan" effect: the skin is, so to say, on the drip. It is not programmed to a solid (healthy) self-regeneration.
Basically, the classical creams organize visible – and thus cosmetic – retouching. But they are not capable of giving the authentic power of regeneration back to the skin. But precisely this is
the source
for the beauty
of the skin.

THE GOAL: BUILDING UP SELF-OPTIMIZATION
Real care is always also renovation of the skin. Surficial (occlusive) care generally produces only "apparent improvement". In general, this effect can be provided by any cream, i.e. any type of emulsion. As a result, cheap creams are generally just as good as the really expensive ones. All of these creams merely seal off the surface of the skin.
Real – i.e. dermatologic – care goes deeper. This means that it guides the skin to healing itself. Really efficient skin care thus permits the skin to build up stable self-optimization:
A healthy skin
generates the majority
of "beautiful effects" …
i.e. smoothness, softness,
skin moisture …
from the inside out,
i.e. on its own.
All in all: the main criterion for beautiful skin is the self-optimization of the skin. This criterion can be studied scientifically if you examine a skin whose barrier has been damaged and observe how it optimizes itself from the inside, i.e. autonomously, if it is left alone, so to say, for 4 weeks (28 days) after discontinuing use of any skin care product.
THE PROBLEM
How much self-optimization
is built up by which cream
within 4 weeks?
To answer this, a special experiment was carried out, comparing a classic O/W emulsion (oil in water), a W/O emulsion (water in oil) and DANADEM. Here is the result:
The effects of self-optimization
Parameter: skin humidity without any external care
Increase (in %) after use of the application was discontinued.

Depending on how disturbed the skin barrier is, it generally takes 1 to 3 months to regenerate it. This depends on the age of the skin, but also on the skin care products used previously.
After the barrier has been restored, the biological capability for self-optimization unfolds in the skin. This means that the autonomous skin humidity … i.e. without the application of DANADEM … levels off at approx. 8-12%. This value remains constant over months.
In summary: when DANADEM is compared with the classic emulsions (O/W or W/O), DANADEM attains the highest value.
This self-optimization is the foundation for modern skin care. If you also use DANADEM – with the multifarious effects of Alchemetics – extraordinary results occur (also see TESTIMONIALS).
